The Experience

“The best thing about a picture is that it never changes, even when the people in it do.”
― Andy Warhol

Genuine Moments Captured in The Places You Love the Most

I photograph kids and families in familiar places because that’s where their hearts are happy. My style is non-traditional, non-fussy, and definitely full of fun.

It’s licking the beaters kind of fun. Jumping in mud puddles kind of fun. Tickle fights on the bed kind of fun.

Dads love me. They never have to smile nice for the camera, ever.

Moms love me because they can relax, step back, and let me “do my thing,” knowing that the photos they will get will be full of the messy truth and the bright light that is their family.

And the kids? They love me because I let them be exactly who they are. I’m kind of like a cool aunt with a camera.

My style is described as documentary, and what that means is that I approach every session with not a single expectation other than to capture the love that I know is present in every family.

The clients who hire me yearly have a series of photos that chronicle their lives and tell their stories.

Your children will never be forced or rushed. Shy kids may just want to cuddle on the couch. The “never sit still” one probably will want to do some exploring outside together. Wherever they are, I meet them there.
